Approved Change Orders (ACO) and Interface Considerations
Certain modifications can be made to Approved Change Orders after they have been interfaced. However, these changes will not update Job Cost unless a subsequent PM Interface is performed. To prevent users from modifying previously interfaced ACOs, a flag can be enabled in the PM Company Parameters form.
Key Points to Note About Change Orders:
PM Change Order forms and JC Change Order forms do not share tables; they operate independently.
Changes made in the JC Change Order form will not automatically update PM Change Orders.
Organizations should establish a standardized process for modifying Change Orders to ensure consistency.
If the “Lock ACO Items After Interface” flag is enabled, corrections require deleting the JC Change Order, updating it in PM, and re-interfacing.
If a JC Change Order has already been billed and cannot be deleted, a new Change Order must be created in PM and interfaced to JC to apply the correction.
