[VA] How to use the VA Copy User/Group Security form

This form is mainly used to transfer security settings from one user or group to another. Once security is copied, you usually won’t need this form again.

Notes:

• To copy all security from one user to another, it’s easier to use the Copy Security button in VA User Profile.

• Copying Form Security here will overwrite all user-level access on the target user. Group-level security is not affected.

Steps to Copy Security:

1. In VA Copy User/Group Security, select From: User or Group.

2. Enter the source User/Group (or press F4 to select).

3. In To, choose the target User(s) or Group(s).

4. Select the Security Type to copy.

5. Pick the target User(s)/Group(s) in the Names field.

6. Click Apply → a warning appears.

7. Click Yes to copy security.

Tip: If you don’t need full security copied, you can just add the target user to the appropriate Security Groups in their User Profile.
