[VA] How to Grant Access to Forms in Vista

Setting Security Permissions for Forms/Programs

If a user:

• Can’t see certain forms/programs,

• Sees them greyed out, or

• Gets a message saying they don’t have access, then their form security settings need to be checked.

Tip: Report security works similarly (see Related Articles).

Note: Form security is usually based on Security Groups, but individual permissions override group permissions.

Steps:

1. Enter the Company, Module, and User/Group you want to set security for.

2. Click Refresh Grid and check Grouping to see all results.

3. Use * as a wildcard to search for a specific form.

4. After updating access, click Apply to save changes.

Caution: The 2-Denied option only works for individual users, not groups.
