Troubleshooting a Status 4 Batch
What it means:
Status 4 = “Posting in Progress” in HQ Batch Control.
Only part of the batch has posted.
Do not delete or revalidate the batch.
Note:
The steps also work for Status 2 or 3 batches if you want to post them.
Steps to Resolve
Open Batch Process:
Go to the module where the batch was created → Programs → Batch Process.
Enter the Batch Month and Batch Number (may need to type manually).
Clear “In Use” if Needed:
If you get “Batch In Use,” go to HQ Batch Control and clear the In Use By field.
Post the Batch:
Click Post.
Do not click Validate if available.
Check for Errors:
If it posts successfully, you’re done.
If there’s an error, note the message, check the Knowledgebase, or open a support case.
Special Notes for PM Module Batches
PM Projection Batches → Post via JC Batch Process.
PM Interface Batches → Standard Status 4 steps won’t work.
SL Batches → Must have SL Source, contact Support.
PO Batches → Must have PO Source, contact Support.
Find the source batch in HQ Batch Control, then go to the correct module (SL or PO) → Batch Control → Post.
Common Causes of Status 4
Loss of power or network connection.
Trigger/setup error that conflicts with batch data.
