Aatrix Integration with Vista

Aatrix Software is a leading provider of U.S. and Canadian regulatory reporting and eFile services. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Grand Forks, ND, Aatrix serves over 350,000 customers and integrates with more than 60 accounting systems, including Viewpoint Vista.

Vista’s partnership with Aatrix began in 2017, enabling users to streamline regulatory reporting and eFiling for W-2s, 1099s, ACA, and other federal and state forms directly within the Vista environment.

Key Capabilities

Comprehensive Reporting:

• Supports hundreds of federal and state forms, including W-2, W-2C, 1094/1095 (ACA), 1099 (MISC, NEC, etc.), 940, 941, SUI/Wage, and Canadian T4/T5018.
• Integrated eFiling:
• Users can print or eFile directly from Vista via the PR Aatrix Report Selection window, which prepopulates employee and payroll data into Aatrix forms.

Accuracy & Compliance:

• All forms are guaranteed current and signature-ready. Aatrix is SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliant to ensure secure data handling.

Automation & Support:

• The Aatrix client installs automatically, updates itself, and validates data before submission. Integration ensures current forms and eFile specifications are always used.

Supported Vista Processes

• W-2s: Integrated since 2017 for print, distribution, and eFile (federal, state, and local). Corrections are supported.
• 1099s: Full eFile support for all U.S. states, expanding beyond Vista’s original Fed/State combined program coverage.
• ACA (1094/1095): Integrated since 2018, eliminating the need for transmitter codes or manual test runs.
• Federal 940 & 941: Transitioned fully to Aatrix in 2019, with reports available via PR Aatrix Report Selection at no cost to print.
• State Unemployment (SUI): Vista continues to monitor changing state eFile requirements, but Aatrix is recommended for compliance with updated formats in states such as CO, DC, FL, IL, IN, ME, MD, NY, NC, PA, VT, and WV.

System Integration and Requirements

• Available in all supported Vista versions (2020 R1 and later).
• Users must install the Aatrix client upon first use; the software self-updates automatically.
• No registration is required for printing or previewing reports; however, eFiling requires an Aatrix company account (set up once at efile.aatrix.com

Costs and Data Handling

• Printing and viewing reports are free.
• eFiling incurs a per-filing fee or can be covered by an annual eFile package from Aatrix.
• Data flows one way — changes in Aatrix do not update Vista. Edits must be made in Vista and re-exported if data accuracy in both systems is required.
• Employee W-2s remain viewable in the Vista Employee (Keystyle) Portal, pulling data directly from Vista tables.

Support and Troubleshooting

• Viewpoint Support handles Vista data or integration issues.
• Aatrix Support handles eFile process or form-specific issues.
• Both organizations coordinate closely to resolve shared customer problems.
