Manually Updating the Aatrix Application

Use this method to manually update the Aatrix application when a firewall, network security settings, or other issues prevent the automatic update process from completing successfully. This process ensures that both Aatrix and Vista remain fully up to date.

Steps to Run the Aatrix Update Fix

1. Locate the AatrixVistaTaxForms Folder

Navigate to the default installation directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Aatrix Software\Aatrix Forms\AatrixVistaTaxForms

Open the file ERRORReport.exe.

2. Run the Update Fix

In the Aatrix Support Tool, click Fix Update.

Note: Local Administrator permissions are required for this step.

Click Next when prompted with details of what will be updated.

When the process is complete, click Close.

3. Reinstall Aatrix Manually

Download the latest Aatrix installation file from the official Vista partner site:

https://partner.aatrix.com/Vista

Right-click the downloaded AatrixVistaTaxForms.exe file and select Run as Administrator.

Uninstall the existing Aatrix application.

Reinstall Aatrix by running the same installer again as Administrator.

Launch Aatrix through Vista to confirm successful installation.

4. Address Update Delays

If Aatrix completes updates for one company but stalls when updating a second:

Open Task Manager.

End the process AatrixForms.exe.

Retry the update process.

5. Verify Network and Security Settings

If problems continue: Confirm that network security software or local firewalls are not blocking Aatrix update traffic.

Coordinate with your IT team to temporarily allow Aatrix to connect to update servers.

After completing these steps, Aatrix should be fully updated and ready for use within Vista.
