[VA] How to Grant Users Access to Reports in Vista

Created by Crystal Millington, Modified on Mon, 29 Dec at 2:41 PM by Crystal Millington

Reports that users do not have access to may appear greyed out or be completely hidden if the “Display Accessible Items Only” option is enabled under View in the Vista Main Menu.

Access can also be controlled via the Menu section in VA User Profile.

Steps to Grant Report Access

  1. Open VA Report Security in Viewpoint Administration (VA) Programs.

  2. Select the Company, Module, and User or Group.

  3. Click Refresh Grid to display available reports.

  4. Locate the report(s) you wish to grant access to.

    • Example: Granting the PR Drilldown report to Company 1, Security Group 14.

    • To grant access to an individual user, select User under Select By, then choose the user’s Vista ID.

  5. In the Access field, select 0 – Allowed from the dropdown menu.

  6. Click Apply to save changes.

  7. A confirmation popup will appear. Once acknowledged, you may exit the form.

The selected user or group will now have access to the report(s) for the specified company.
