[VA] How to Grant Users Access to Reports in Vista

Created by Crystal Ann Harvey, Modified on Fri, 22 Aug at 10:36 AM by Crystal Ann Harvey

Reports that users do not have access to will either appear greyed out in Vista or not visible at all if the user has the "Display Accessible Items Only" option checked under View in the Vista Main Menu.

You can also restrict what the user can see in VA User Profile on the info tab under Menu

Steps

Access is granted through the form VA Report Security in Viewpoint Administration Programs.

  • Open VA Report Security
  • Select the appropriate Company, Module, and User or Group
  • Click "Refresh Grid"
  • Locate the report(s) in the Grid

Notice in our sample we are granting access to the PR Drilldown report to company 1 security group 14. You can also grant just a user access by selecting "User" under the select by then select the users Vista ID from Users:

  • In the "Access" field click on the dropdown and select "0-Allowed"
  • Click "Apply" to save changes.

You can now exit the form.

The user or group will now have access to the report(s) in the company option you selected.
