Setting Up and Tracking FMLA Leave
Create Leave Codes
Make separate leave codes for federal and state FMLA.
Unit of measure: hours
No accrual limits (FMLA is not accrued).
Initialize Employees
Use PR Leave Initialize by payroll group.
Select active employees only unless tracking inactive eligibility dates.
Enter Usage
Use PR Leave Entry to log FMLA hours per event.
Use the description field to differentiate multiple events for the same employee.
Track and Report
Use PR Leave History Detail or HR FMLA Tracking Report to monitor usage.
Hours worked and months employed are based on HR Company Parameters.
