[PR] How to Track FMLA Leave using PR Employee Leave

Setting Up and Tracking FMLA Leave

  1. Create Leave Codes

    • Make separate leave codes for federal and state FMLA.

    • Unit of measure: hours

    • No accrual limits (FMLA is not accrued).

  2. Initialize Employees

    • Use PR Leave Initialize by payroll group.

    • Select active employees only unless tracking inactive eligibility dates.

  3. Enter Usage

    • Use PR Leave Entry to log FMLA hours per event.

    • Use the description field to differentiate multiple events for the same employee.

  4. Track and Report

    • Use PR Leave History Detail or HR FMLA Tracking Report to monitor usage.

    • Hours worked and months employed are based on HR Company Parameters.
