[JB] How to Create T&M Labor Categories

JB T&M Labor Categories can be created in the JB T&M Labor Categories Program.

Steps

To pull up the Labor Categories form, you can press F5 on the Labor Categories field in JB T&M Template or open the JB T&M Labor Categories Program from the Vista Main Menu.

When labor costs are pulled into a bill, they will be pulled into a Labor Category based on their Craft and Class combination. If there are no Labor Categories for this cost, and you are billing your labor based on labor rates, then these costs will not be pulled into the bill.

When a Labor Category is created, you will need to create one or more sequences to determine which costs you would like to pull into this Labor Category based on the Craft and Class of the Cost.

In the example below any costs that belong to one of these sequences will belong to the Labor Category of LABR. In sequence one, I am restricting by Craft only. So, if any cost with a Craft of LABR gets pulled into a bill, it will fall into this Labor Category regardless of Class. In sequence two, I am restricting by both craft and class. So, any cost with a Craft of CARP and a Class of LBR will be pulled into this labor category on the T&M Bill.

A miscellaneous Labor Category can be created to pull in all costs that do not belong to any other Labor Category.
