Filters:
Costs are pulled into a Labor Rate if they match these filters:Earn Type – only costs with the selected Earn Type
Factor – only costs with the selected Factor
Shift – only costs with the selected Shift
Rate Option:
Determines how the Labor Rate is calculated:C – Actual Costs: Use posted costs
R – Labor Rate: Use the rate in New/Old Rate fields based on effective date
F – Earnings Factor: Multiply the earnings factor by the specified rate
New/Old Rates:
New Rate is used unless the cost date is before the Labor Rate Effective Date, then Old Rate applies.
Labor Rate Overrides
Use overrides when normal labor rates aren’t specific enough.
Overrides use the same filters (Earn Type, Factor, Shift) plus:
Employee – only costs for the selected employee
Craft – only costs for the selected craft
Class – only costs for the selected class
Overrides take priority over regular Labor Rates.
Tips & Notes
Test your setup by initializing a bill to see how costs are pulled. Adjust and reinitialize if needed.
Make sure Rates tab is checked in the Labor Rate Options on the Info Tab to use labor rates on bills.
A cost cannot belong to two labor rates; if it does, it will show an error in JB Error List.
