[HR] Tracking Salary History

The HR Resource Salary History form tracks employee salaries and position changes by date. It is accessible from the Programs folder in HR or via the Salary History tab on the HR Resource Master form.


Steps to Record Salary History

  1. Open the Form:

    • From Programs → HR Resource Salary History, or

    • Double-click in the Salary History tab on HR Resource Master.

  2. Select Resource:

    • In Resource, press F4 to choose the employee (pre-selected if opened from HR Resource Master).

    • Enter the Effective Date of the salary change.

  3. Info Tab:

    • Select Salary or Hourly.

    • Old Salary/Rate displays the current rate.

    • Enter New Salary/Rate if Calculate? is unchecked.

    • If using Calculate?, leave the new rate blank and add entries in the grid with reason codes and percentage increases. The system calculates the total increase.

    • Update Position if changing the employee’s role.

    • Enter Next Salary Review Date if applicable.

    • Save the record.

  4. Salary History Tab:

    • Reason Seq: Display-only, auto-assigned.

    • Reason Code: Select a code to explain the adjustment.

    • Pct Increase: Enter the percentage increase. If using Calculate?, this is used to compute the new salary; otherwise, it is informational.

    • Save the record.


All salary history is viewable from the Salary History tab on HR Resource Master.
