[HR] Initializing a Benefit Group

  1. Open the Form:
    • On the HR Resource Benefits form, go to File → Initialize Benefit Group.
    • (You can also open the HR Benefit Initialization form from the HR module's Programs folder.)
  2. Select Resource:
    • In Resource #, press F4 and choose the employee.
  3. Select Benefit Group:
    • In Benefit Group, press F4 and choose the group of benefits to apply.
  4. Set Effective Date:
    • Enter the date these benefits should start in Effective Date.
  5. Initialize:
    • Click Initialize. Each benefit in the group is added for the resource, along with associated deductions, liabilities, and earnings. The Update PR flag is set based on the HR Benefit Codes form.
  6. Confirmation:
    • When initialization completes, a message appears. Click Yes to keep the form open for another resource/group.
    • Note: If a benefit code has deductions, earnings, or liabilities that already exist for the resource, it will not be added, but all other benefits in the group will be initialized.
