IF an HR resource is linked to a PR Employee record in one company, but the employee has been transferred and will be in the employ of another company in your organization, the resource record can be used to create the employee in a second Payroll Company. This creates an entirely new PR employee record of the employee in the new company.
The original PR employee (the self-same individual) will still exist in the first company as inactive, just not linked to the resource.
In order to move a resource in HR from one Payroll Company to another, the 'Exists in PR' flag needs to be reset. Below are the steps to accomplish the task in Resolution
In order to move a resource in HR from one Payroll Company to another, the 'Exists in PR' flag needs to be reset. Below are the steps to accomplish the task.
Bring up the employee in the HR Resources and on the PR Info Tab you can enter a termination date or unclick the Active box, it inactivates the employee in the old company, remove the PR Employee # and save the record.
Change the PR Co# to the new payroll company, enter the PR Employee#, check the 'Active PR Employee box', and save the record. The 'Exists in PR' box will be cleared and the Add to PR button will now be available.
A suggested workaround, just in case, all of the benefits do not flow over to the new company, is to go to the HR Resource Benefits Deduction/Liability Codes tab and have them "Uncheck and Check" the Update PR box before Initializing to PR.
