Releasing Retainage on Stored Materials in Job Billing

1. Stored Materials Being Installed:

• Use the normal install process, then release retainage via JB Release Retainage.

2. Stored Materials Not Being Installed:

• In JB Progress Billing > Item SM/Tax, enter a negative value in the SM Retg column to release retainage without installing.

3. Release Both SM Retainage and Work Complete Retainage for a Fixed Percentage:

1. Filter Prev SM Retg <> 0 in Item SM/Tax to see lines with stored material retainage.

2. Enter a negative amount in SM Retg to release the desired percentage (e.g., 50% = 50% of Previous SM Retainage).

3. Open JB Release Retainage, select Release by Contract, and release the percentage.

4. For items with both SM and Work Complete retainage, manually calculate and enter the release amount. Check Previous WC Retainage for values.

   • Tip: If billing new WC amounts, release retainage on a separate bill to avoid conflicts.
