Creating PR Craft Class Templates
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps to set up PR Craft Class Templates for accurate labor classification, pay rates, and compliance reporting.
Key Steps
1. Accessing PR Craft Class Templates 1:25

Navigate to the Payroll module.
Click on Programs.
Select PR Craft Class Templates.
2. Entering Craft and Class Information 1:43

On the Info tab, enter the following:
Craft
Class
Template
Ensure these are already set up in PR Craft Templates.
Use F4 to select from available lists.
3. Setting Prevailing Wage 2:01

Check 'Override Class Prevailing Wage' if the wage differs from the default.
If unchecked, standard craft class rates will apply.
4. Entering Wage Rates 2:30

Enter wage rates based on the selected calculation method:
For cash fringe factored: enter old and new total wage rates.
For other methods: enter old and new basic hourly rates and fringe benefit rates.
5. Using the Pay Rates Tab 3:00

Override pay rates only if necessary.
If no override is entered, Vista uses rates from the next level (craft template, craft class, or craft).
To exclude a rate, enter 0.
6. Variable Earnings Tab 3:33

Override variable earnings if necessary.
Enter a shift number and earnings code (use F4 to select).
Enter old and new rates.
7. Add-on Earnings Tab 4:25

Override or add earnings for the Craft class template.
Enter an earnings code (use F4 to select).
If the method is variable, enter the factor; otherwise, it is fixed at 0.
8. Deductions and Liabilities Tab 5:08

Override deductions or liabilities if necessary.
Enter a deduction or liability code (description, type, and method will autofill).
To exclude, enter 0.
9. Allowance Earnings Tab 6:36

Enter an allowance that must be set up in PR craft class templates.
Enter an earnings code using the allowance method.
10. Saving the Record 7:27

After completing the setup, click Save to save the record.

Ensure all required codes and rates are set up in PR Crafts before proceeding.
Double-check all entries for accuracy to avoid payroll discrepancies.

Use F4 frequently to select from lists and avoid manual entry errors.
