The Carryover Limit in the PR Leave Codes form defines the maximum number of leave hours an employee can retain after the year-end balance reset.
Enter the desired limit in the Carryover Limit field (e.g., 40 hours for annual vacation carryover).
When running the PR Leave Code Reset process with the option “Reset Available Balances to Carryover Limit” selected:
- Employees with balances above the limit will have their available hours reduced to the specified amount.
- Employees with balances below the limit will remain unchanged.
To disallow carryover entirely, set the Carryover Limit to 0.00.
Setting appropriate carryover limits ensures compliance with company policy and accurate year-end leave balance calculations.
