[PR] Leave Level Overrides

Created by Crystal Millington, Modified on Mon, 29 Dec at 2:47 PM by Crystal Millington

Leave Level codes let employees accrue leave at rates specific to their job or project. This is useful for state or federal jobs that require special leave accrual rates.

How It Works:

  1. Create a Leave Level code.

  2. Assign the code to an earnings code in PR Leave Codes (Leave Level Overrides tab).

  3. Link the code to a job via JC Job Master or PM Projects.

When processing leave:

  • The system compares the employee’s standard leave rate and the job-specific leave rate.

  • The higher rate is used for accrual.

  • If the job rate is higher, accrual is based on the employee’s hours worked on that job.

Steps to Set Up:

  1. Create a Leave Level record.

  2. In PR Leave Codes, go to the Leave Level tab, and add:

    • Earnings code

    • Leave level

    • Rate of accrual

  3. Open the job in the Job Cost module that needs this leave rate.

  4. Once the Leave Level and override are linked to the job, employees working that job will accrue leave at the override rate instead of the standard rate.
