SM Call Type Category

  • Use this form to create and manage categories for your call types.

  • Categories help organize service calls and can be used for accounting or work classification (e.g., Maintenance, Service, Concrete, Plumbing, Warranty, Furnace, Electrical).

  • You can assign colors to call types so trips on the SM Dispatch Board are color-coded for easy identification.

    • Note: The color is based on the first open scope of the trip.

How to access:

  • From the Programs menu in Service Management, double-click the SM Call Type Category icon to open the form.

  1. Category: Enter a name for the call type category and press Enter.

  2. Description: Enter a description for the category.

  3. Choose Color: Click the Choose Color button to open the Color pop-up.

    • Pick a color from the basic list, or

    • Create a custom color using the sampler, sliders, or by entering Hue/Saturation/Lum or RGB values, then click Add to Custom Colors.

  4. Click OK to apply the color.

Notes:

  • You can change a category’s color later by clicking Choose Color again.

  • Click Restore Default to reset the color to the original.
