[SM] Setup Agreement Types

Created by Crystal Millington, Modified on Mon, 29 Dec at 8:18 AM by Crystal Millington

Use Agreement Types to categorize the service agreements you offer. You can create multiple types (for example, Annual Maintenance or Full Coverage), but at least one agreement type is required. Every agreement in SM Agreements must have an agreement type before it can be activated.

Agreement types can also be used for reporting, billing, and filtering services due for work order generation.

Auto Renew
Select Auto Renew to mark agreements of this type as eligible for future auto-renewal. This enables renewal-related fields in SM Agreements for forecasting purposes. (Note: Auto-renewal is not yet active.)

Deleting or Deactivating

  • You can delete an agreement type only if it is not assigned to any agreements.

  • If it is in use, you can deactivate it to prevent future use.

Agreement Coverage
Use the Coverage tab to assign call types to the agreement type and mark them as planned or unplanned (for example, planned maintenance vs. unplanned repairs).

Set up agreement types in SM Agreement Types before creating agreements in SM Agreements.

  1. Enter the Agreement Type and Description.
  2. Select the Department.
  3. Check Active to allow use on agreements.
  4. (Optional) Check Auto Renew if the agreement type supports auto-renewal.
  5. Open the Coverage tab to set up call type coverage.

6. Enter or select a Call Type.

7. Check Planned if the work is planned; leave unchecked for unplanned work.

8. Save the record.
