[SM] Setting Up SM Technicians for Davis-Bacon (Certified) Payroll Reporting

To report Davis-Bacon wages, ensure your SM Technicians (and corresponding PR Employees) are set up for Certified Jobs.

Important: Customer-type SM Work Orders do not appear on standard PR Certified Payroll Reports. A custom report is needed for this data.

Setup Steps:

1. Verify the PR Employee # and Company on the SM Technician form.

2. In the PR Employees form, go to the Additional Info tab and check “Include on Certified Reports”. This ensures the employee’s timecards from SM or Payroll appear on the Certified Report.

3. In the JC Job Master form, under Payroll Info, verify the Certified Job flag is checked. (If unchecked, you can still report time by adjusting the “Certified Jobs Only?” parameter in the report.)

4. Create an SM Work Order. Any labor lines for technicians marked as included in Certified Reports will appear correctly on the certified payroll report. SM entries are not distinguished on the report but are reported properly for certified wages.
