Creating and Managing SM Rate Templates
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps to create and manage SM rate templates in the service management module to ensure accurate billing on work orders.
Key Steps
1. Accessing SM Rate Templates 0:14
Navigate to the Service Management module.
Click on 'Programs'.
Select 'SM Rate Templates'.
2. Opening a Template 0:23
Double-click on the desired SM rate template to open it.
3. Setting Template Details 0:35
Enter a short name for the template.
Assign a code and number as per your setup requirements.
Provide a clear description for the template to assist the billing team.
4. Configuring Equipment Rates 0:46
Set the markup percentage for equipment in the equipment module.
This will combine with the equipment usage rate to calculate the billable rate.
Use the 'Advanced' option for overrides based on equipment, revenue code, customer site, or date.
5. Setting Labor Rates 1:51
Enter the standard labor rate for work completed in SM work orders.
Use the 'Advanced' option to select specific technicians or craft classes for different billing rates.
6. Configuring Material Rates 2:58
Determine the markup or discount for materials.
Choose the basis for the rate: actual cost, standard cost, average cost, last cost, or standard price.
Set breakpoints for different cost levels if necessary.
7. Managing Non-Material Purchases 4:04
Set breakpoints for non-material miscellaneous and purchase lines.
Leave markup at zero if not applicable.
8. Setting Standard Item Overrides 5:14
Ensure standard items are set up in SM Standard Items.
Attach billable rates and markup percentages for standard items.
