In JB Contract Info or JC Contract Master (JB Info tab), there is an option labeled "Report Retainage at Item Level." When this option is selected, retainage is reported at the item level, and adjustments cannot be made through the Retainage Totals screen.
The Retainage Totals screen operates at the contract level; therefore, to enable adjustments, this option must be unchecked. Once the box has been cleared, the bill must be in a Change or Interfaced status to access and modify the totals.
