Silvertrek Payroll Processing Access Setup

SUMMARY of Requirements:

  1. A payroll processing Vista user (Payroll Scribe). This is used for every step of regular payroll processing.
  2. A tax filing and reconciliation Vista user (Payroll Keeper). This is a higher-level account used for monthly/quarterly filings and reconciliations, setup review, occasional payroll processing needs, and assisting payroll processors.
  3. A developer/technical Vista user. This is used for installing and testing reports, customizations like buttons and custom fields, investigating payroll issues, and assisting payroll processors with technical issues.
  4. An admin-level SQL user. This is used for exceptions detection and automated fixing, installing and updating reports, customizations like buttons and custom fields, and investigating payroll issues.
    • Note: The SQL user is a “User Application” type user, and thus it is not allowed to log into Vista and does not use one of your Vista licenses.
  5. Viewpoint must enable Silvertrek technical access. As a security measure, you must request that Viewpoint whitelist Silvertrek’s IP Addresses 50.173.26.222 and 104.42.57.116 before Silvertrek can connect. Also, Viewpoint must grant the admin-level access to the SQL user.
