To delete an account, all statement detail must be purged. Note: The CM Statement Purge program cannot purge the last closed statement—only the one before it.
If There Are Outstanding Entries
Create a CM Statement including all outstanding entries.
Use CM Clear to clear all checks, deposits, and adjustments; note any variance.
Use CM Outstanding Entries to enter an adjustment to bring the variance to zero. (Ensure GL Interface is off in CM Company Parameters.)
Use CM Clear to clear the adjustment; confirm the variance is zero.
Close the statement in CM Statement Control.
If There Are No Outstanding Entries
Create a dummy statement in CM Statement Control with a beginning balance equal to the ending balance and mark it as Closed.
Run CM Purge to purge all detail up to the last real statement (the one before the dummy statement).
Delete the dummy statement in CM Statement Control.
Delete the account in CM Accounts.
