1. Using the DM Attachment Types form, create a new record using the "paper" icon.
When you create a new record the "Attachment Type ID" auto-populates.
2. Enter a name for the Attachment Type and Description (optional). Retention Time is also optional (from the Help pages on Retention Time: Enter the time in months for the system to retain documents with this type. Once this time has passed, you can delete documents with this type using DM Expired Documents Purge.)
3. Check the "Secured" box if you want to apply security to this Type. See Related Articles below on using Attachment Type security.
4. Make sure the record saves ("save" icon is greyed out).
