[PR] Pay Stub Notify Troubleshooting

If no email was received:

• Are the employees set up to receive pay stubs via email w/ attachment in PR Employees>Add'l Info tab?

• Is there an email address for the employee(s) in PR Employee(s)?

• Does the user sending the pay stubs have security access to PR Pay Stub Notify in VA Form Security?

• Is the SMTP mail setup with the name of the exchange server in the host field? This is located under Start>Configure Remote Services on the server itself.

• Check to make sure the user has security access to the "attachment type" in VA Attachment Type Security.
  

NOTE: On the Viewpoint Configuration form there is a box about "Use SSL\TLS". Cloud users might need to uncheck that.

  To determine if the email message was sent successfully by Vista:

• Open VA Message Archive and enter your query parameters or go to the grid and sort by date. You should see that the Sent box is checked and there is a Date Sent. Otherwise, you will see a Failure Reason.

• You may also need to restart the Viewpoint Services on the server (not the Remote Services).

If the email was received but without an attachment:

• Verify the attachments exist in Vista by running the PR Payroll drilldown report or look in DM Attachment security Index search form
• Check to ensure Employee is setup with A-email with Attachment for Method of Pay Stub Delivery in PR Employee on the Addl Info tab.

Note: If the attachment was created and the pay period is still open you can verify the attachment exists by viewing the attachment in PR Employee Sequence Control under the paperclip icon

Verify Security:

• Has the form DM Attachment Options been setup with either Attachment Storage Location option selected and filled out
• Has the user sending the pay stubs been given global access to the following forms in VA Form Security, DM Attachments, DM Attachment Index Search?
• In PR Company Parameters form under the Report Info tab make note of these report titles:

(note: all reports in the below screen shot are Vista standard reports)

• Has the user been give report security in VA Report Security to the 2 reports listed in the Title for check attachment fields?

• Has the user been given access to the attachment type listed in Stub Attachment field in VA Attachment Type Security?

• Is the box checked: Attach Pay Stub to Employee Pay Sequences?
