IN Material Orders can be process via Project Management or IN Material Order Entry

1.  IN Material Order Entry.   This is where you'd enter materials that you want allocated to a Job.

Once this batch is posted it will update committed costs in JC and also updated allocated units from Inventory

Items can be delete or edited at this stage by creating a new IN Material Order Entry batch and going to File > Add Material Order.   (Once the item is confirmed - the item can be edited but not deleted.  Additionally the Material Order can't be deleted if the items have been confirmed.

2.  IN Material Order Confirmation or IN Material Order Confirm Init.   This where you confirm that you received the items on the Material Order.  This will then relieve JC Committed Cost and Inventory.  Also will update JC Detail and GL.

Once confirmed you can't delete the confirmation detail but you can enter a reversing confirmation entry.

3.  IN Material Order Close.  This is where material orders can be closed.  It can be closed without being fully confirmed.  If closed and there are still remaining units that haven't been confirmed, it will create an entry in JC to relieve committed costs and also remove any allocated units.

You can reopen a Material Order.  It won't bring back the committed costs or allocated units in Inventory on those material order closed prior to all units being confirmed.  It is suggested on those cases to create a new Material Order for those remaining units.

4.  IN Material Order Purge.  This allows the material orders to be purged after the material order is closed.  The Material Order detail is purged but the detail posted in Job Cost and Inventory is not deleted.

Note:  There is also an option to Copy of Material Order - in IN Material Order Entry > File > Copy Material Order.
