Why is unit cost grayed out when manually adding a phase?

Q. Why is the unit cost field grayed out when I manually add a phase to a job?

A. The unit phase field is an optional field. It defaults from entry in the Summary Totals window, and is based off the expected cost per unit on unit-cost phases.
