Adding a Payroll Department
To Add a Payroll Department in Spectrum:
1. Select Payroll - Maintenance - Department Expense
2. Select New - Enter Dept Code in accordance with the predetermined naming convention
3. Enter the department description, direct cost flag, worker's compensation code, and G/L codes in the Properties tab, then select the TAB key.
4. Enter the selected G/L codes in the Employer Expense, Direct Cost, and V/H/S Accrual Tabs
5. Select OK, then OK again.
6. Verify the new code has appeared in the department listing, then save and close.
